My Robert Allen Ikat Fabric

8.08.2010

I scored this lovely bit of Robert Allen ikat on ebay a while back! It's gorgeous and I see this colorway less frequently than his other ikats so that's a plus!

The other day I was browsing I Suwannee and saw a room that she did with this same fabric for drapes and throw pillows! I love it and love everything she touches, and I guess we have the same taste in fabric! I'm not sure what I am going to do with mine.... Possibly cover my dining chairs? Not sure but I'll post about it when I do!

New Dwell Studio Fabric Line

7.01.2010

I am ecstatic having just found out that Dwell Studio is teaming up with Robert Allen to do a fabric line! Not just a fabric line but 72 fabrics no less! Since these pictures from the Dwell blog show just a few of them, I literally cannot wait to see the rest on their website in August. Since I've been dying to get that peacock bedding as I posted a while back, now I can just get the peacock fabric and use it for any project I choose! It's enough to make a girl's day.

Upholstery in Bold Prints

6.20.2010

I have always been a fan of large, boldly printed fabrics used to upholster furniture. When it comes to decorating my own home I have never chosen small prints. I guess I just like the statement that a large print makes, and I think that they have more of a modern feel than small print fabrics. In recent years I have definitely seen a trend towards these big and bold patterns.

I am obsessed with the above fabric!!! It's called Macao from China Seas and I have it in dark brown, which I like even better than the green. I can't wait til I figure out what to use it for!

Amy Butler Fabric

4.11.2010

Oh my gosh, can we talk Amy Butler fabric for a moment here? I had never heard anything about her actually, and just stumbled across her fabric on Etsy on day, I think while searching for some KWID Imperial Trellis. I'm always a fan of bold, large-scale designs on fabric, so I was pretty stoked. Plus, Butler has an AMAZING eye for color. Some of the colorways just blow me away, seriously. You can find a bunch of designs on fabric.com, and also Etsy and ebay have tons. The other great part? It's super cheap, about $9 to $13 a yard!

New Thomas Paul Line for Duralee

2.27.2010

Many of you are probably familiar with Thomas Paul's line of fabric for Duralee, even if you don't know that you are. Urban Outfitters and Target both carry upholstered furniture covered in prints from his first line.

Last week I received an email from Decorati announcing the arrival of the new line, Thomas Paul 2. I felt an immediate rush of excitement from how gorgeous it all was! The fabrics are incredible and vibrant, with even more detail than his first line. Here are a few from the Decorati website, and I think they all run about $49.50 per yard.
