I'm back from a long blogging-break, and it feels good! I couldn't be happier to be back in the swing of things. In my search for inspiration as well as items for my home, I stumbled upon this awesome credenza on ebay.

I come across a good amount of cool credenzas on ebay and craigslist, but the shape of this one really reminded me of one of the Room Service ones that we all love so much. If you were to slap on some glossy paint, in white or even a bright kelly green or yellow, it would be so glam! Add some really bold hardware and it looks like a million bucks, just like all of the Room Service ones below.

What is it about credenzas that makes me so happy? They just seem so glam, and can literally work in any space! They may be called credenzas, sideboards or buffets, but to me they are all one thing... fabulous!! It's practical to have one in the entryway, dining room, living room, office.... heck just have one in every room!

The ones at Room Service are exceptionally glam, but I'm honestly not in a position where I can drop a couple grand on a piece of furniture! They are beauties though....

Brixton Credenza

Palm Beach Credenza

I do firmly believe however, that with a little imagination you could find a vintage credenza and make it into something like one of the ones above! New paint, hardware and possibly some molding could transform the right credenza into one that looks like it cost you a pretty penny! I have a quite a few other inspiring credenza photos as well....

Pull Up A Chair

Lately I've been on the quest for the perfect dining table and chairs. Soon I'll be moving to a bigger place that will actually have room for a them; Imagine that! I did find my dream dining table on ebay, the only problem being that I have no room for it in my current place.

Such a bummer since it was insanely gorgeous, so of course it got snatched right up. I had constant daydreams about this table and all of the gorgeous colors that I could potentially paint it. Glossy navy blue, light gray or peacock.... Now any table that follows will have to live up to this beauty. I am contemplating eventually having a very similar one custom-made. As for the chairs, I have some beautiful ones that I bought for only $50 each from my friend Michelle, but I want to keep them as occasional chairs in possibly the living room or bedroom. They don't seem exactly right for dining chairs. These turquoise ones and silver ones are mine:

I have seen some amazing dining chairs, although most of the ones I like are a little out of my price range. Here are a few of my faves.

Hollywood Chair from Room Service, $595 each

There are so many incredible options out there, but I hit the jackpot when I saw a set of 6 faux bamboo vintage chairs on ebay, for only $500 including shipping. I'm completely in love. All I'd have to do is paint them one of the aforementioned colors in a high-gloss finish, change the seat fabric and call it a day! I love love LOVE them.
